* The eArt Directory is for artists who would like to broaden their horizons to promote and sell their art using the internet.

It's for artists who are not confident with the business side of selling their work, and it's for artists who know what they're doing business-wise but need to save the hours, days, weeks and months spent promoting and marketing their work online.

The eArt Directory grew to what it is now, over a period of fifteen years. That's how long it has taken me to fine-tune a network of websites to give me a workable online income from my art. And it's an ongoing a process, parallel to the growth of the internet.

Author Bio
Lynda Cookson was born in South Africa in June 1954. Her writing career began while she was working for a newspaper in Kwa-Zulu Natal, and in 1987 she wrote a children’s Christmas play called “Suzie’s Letter to Santa”, which was produced locally.

Writing took a back seat when she started her own handmade papermaking business called “Paperways”, although she wrote and published “How To Make Handmade Paper” to form part of the papermaking kits her business manufactured. It was only after Lynda and her husband, Alan, immigrated to Connemara on the West Coast of Ireland in 2001, that she felt able to pick up her career as a writer.

In 2005 she began writing monthly artist profiles for the “Now” group of glossy magazines, interviewing thirty-three artists a year. Selected profiles from those interviews were published in 2009 at "Tea 'n Turps." subtitled Taking Tea with Artists. Only one edition was printed (sold out and now out of print) but further editions may be published soon as eBooks.

Also in 2005, Cookson wrote “The eArt Directory”, a workbook assisting artists in promoting their work using the Internet, and curated and part-authored the “Art In The West” catalogue and exhibition.

The second edition of “The eArt Directory” has since been published as an ebook (in 2009) and many of her articles can be found in Irish magazines.

Road Trips with Milly is her ongoing travel blog and can be found here:

Lynda is primarily an artist and her paintings can be found on various sites, linked from her main website at
